Pros and cons of Moon+ app for iPhone and iPad

Moon+ app good for

A very nice and easy to use app. The only thing I am missing is the name pf the constellation in which the moon just is.
Plus version is Ad free and supports swipe to change the date but honestly I bought it just to support the efforts of the author based on the free version.
Freebee version hooked me and thought Id give my support by upgrading. More facts would be appreciated. Following the moon in it positions, phases, risings and settings certainly helps, over time, to understand our closest neighbours journey about the earth. Thomas Watson on Its Rainmaking Time gives a very interesting discussion on our night sky with some behaviours peculiar to our moon. The moons face seems to have a positive charge and that makes some difference.

Some bad moments

The new moon and full moon dates have turned out to be inaccurate in more than one occasion. Unreliable piece of junk if you ask me. Contacted the developer. Lets see what they say.
The compass needs to align better and I have to reset the compass every time I use it. You have to use your own calendar to view full or new moon However you can pick any day and view it that way. Over all I like it and find it useful. But I see no real difference between this program verses any other one out there.
I had the free version because I wanted a simple app to know moonset. But when this new version was released, I immediately switched to the paid version. I love what theyve done with the live compass image of the moon, fun facts, etc. They also fixed the thing where changing the date didnt do much. All in all very solid, useful app.
I have had the free version for some months and loved it but for the annoying ad at the top of the page. Just got this ad free version and the compass will not work no matter what I do. I can sit in my living room and point my IPad out a window and know I am facing true East. According to this app East is somewhere over my shoulder. And yes, I did click on the box asking if I wanted the app to use my present location. Do not waste your money. Keep the free version!
This app has just the features and functions that I was seeking. I found it indirectly by way of the free version that proved to be less than I wanted. No problems with it so far.
My wife and I frequently use this app during our evening walks, especially when the moon is not immediately visible. The moonrise, moonset and percent illumination tell us were to look and what to look for. Great app!
